Visited for the Christmas market. The place really puts you in the mood for Christmas. Great to support local business. Bought loads of unusual Christmas presents that were unique. Brass band playing too. Perfect afternoon.
A part of history that needs preserving. Always check if open, as generally closed for Winter and I think only open 3 days a week during Summer. Could also change.
Not actually able to gain access due to their winter opening hours but a very helpful lady explained when we could gain access and be able to see the machinery in working order. Can't wait to go.
A great day out. Visited with a group of teens. Our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. His passion for his subject kept our group interested throughout the day. The felting workshop was good. Seeing the machines working was a privilege. This experience is a must.
A fantastic museum that is a 'must see' if you're at all interested in Lancashire's wool and cotton industry. With its large, working water wheel and other working machinery, this Mill was in use for more than 200 years up to Christmas 1978. If you join the 'Friends of Helmshore Textile Museums' you get free entry into the museum throughout the year and 10% discount on shop items and cafe. Adults 8, Concessions 6, 2x Adults 14.You just can't beat it!
