Denpoint have been looking after my family for years. Staff are really friendly and put you at ease. I had a problem last week and they got me in the same day and did a temporary filling which stopped the pain.
Denpoint significantly worsened my dental health. I originally visited Denpoint for braces as a teenager. However, these braces so greatly pushed my lower jaw backwards, that they gave me an uneven bite, causing a condition know as Temporomandibular disorder (TMD.) Essentially, too much pressure had been put on my jaw joints by the brace, causing the cartilage in my left jaw joint to pop out of place. This condition causes me immense physical pain, causes a clicking noise when i open my mouth, gives my headaches, earaches, causes me to grind my teeth in my sleep, and makes eating difficult. I went to Dr Wall at Denpoint when i was still his patient with my concerns about my jaw, which i find he greatly downplayed, even though TMD can progress into a permanent locked jaw, so is extremely serious. In order to attempt to 'treat' the issue, the only thing offered to me was to alter my retainer, which did not work.It is only after visiting a different dental practice that my condition, strongly believed to have been caused by the work done at Denpoint, was properly diagnosed and i discovered that the way in which Dr Wall was trying to fix the condition is not the established and most effective method to do so. Thankfully, i am now on the correct treatment plan, but this does require resetting my entire jaw. I shall have to wear a splint and a new, further set of braces for the next two years.Even if this TMJ was perhaps not caused by the braces given to me at Denpoint, which my new dental practice does highly suspect, but from some other source; the way in which this serious condition was treated in such a blas manner, and how it was not treated in the correct way, is still absolutely appalling. Therefore, due to my horrendous experience, I would strongly advise not getting orthodontic work at Denpoint.
